SUBMIT A TALK, ACADEMIC PAPER, OR WORKSHOP
FOSS4G is the international conference on open source geospatial software, so every submission should revolve around open source software in some way: the open source geospatial software you work on and how it works, how you use open source geospatial software to solve your problems, how open source geospatial software makes your organization better, what you learned from working with open source geospatial software, an important problem you solved with open source geospatial software, your work or your organizations work and how open source geospatial software have affected them, and so on.

TALKS
25 Minute Sessions
Talks are verbal presentations with an audio-visual component in the form of a slide deck or live demonstration, paired with audience engagement through Q&A.

ACADEMIC PAPERS
25 Minute Sessions | Posters
Academic talks and posters are presented in conjunction with a submitted paper, that will be reviewed by the Academic Committee, separate from the ordinary Program Committee.

WORKSHOPS
3 Hour Sessions
Workshops are hands-on teaching sessions, organized around teaching a specific FOSS4G software package, through some kind of practical problem solving.
