6 Ways You Can Get Involved at FOSS4G
February 11, 2020

Submit by February 4 for the Opportunity for Early Acceptance

The FOSS4G 2020 early acceptance deadline is approaching!

Talks submitted before February 4, 2020 are eligible for early acceptance to the 2020 program. The program committee will accept a small selection of talks that represent the spirit of FOSS4G.

Early acceptance helps speakers begin planning their conference experience earlier, with the certainty that they’ll be a speaker. It also helps the organizing committee communicate what FOSS4G is all about, particularly to sponsors or attending organizations that might not be familiar with FOSS4G.

Speakers who are accepted early receive up to 3 months of additional exposure on the FOSS4G program, and the opportunity to promote your participation earlier than those accepted through the community review of talks.

If you want to lock down your FOSS4G talk, or you just want to help us make the conference better, make sure to submit your talk before February 4, 2020!

Here’s how to submit:

  • Review the options available for talks, academic papers and workshops here.
  • Make sure to look at the key dates and deadlines to ensure you have capacity to participate.
  • Take a look at the accepted talks from 2017, 2018 and 2019 to ensure you fit with FOSS4G.
  • Develop your abstract.
  • Submit via the Official CFP System, brought to you by Pretalx.

Pretalx is the Official CFP System for FOSS4G 2020. Offering a range of event tools, Pretalx is a conference management software that stays with you every step of the way.
